Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken

Season chicken pieces generously with salt and black pepper.

Set aside while you prepare the breading.

  2. Set Up the Breading

    • Bowl 1: Whisk eggs with milk or water
    • Bowl 2: Mix flour, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika

Dip chicken into egg, then into flour.

Press firmly so the coating sticks well.

Extra crunch: egg → flour → egg → flour.

  3. Deep-Fry

    Heat oil to 175–180°C / 350–360°F.

Fry chicken in batches for 5–7 minutes, until:

    • Deep golden brown
    • Super crispy
    • Fully cooked inside

Drain on a wire rack or paper towels.

  4. Make the Pumpkin Spice Honey Glaze

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine:

    • Honey
    • Pumpkin spice
    • Cinnamon & nutmeg (if using)
    • Smoked paprika
    • Salt
    • Butter

Stir gently until melted, glossy, and smooth.

Add 1–2 tbsp water if the glaze feels too thick. It should drip, not clump.

  5. Finish (The Best Part)

Place hot fried chicken on a rack or plate.

Drizzle the warm pumpkin spice honey glaze generously over the chicken, letting it run down the crispy crust.

Do not toss. Keep that crunch.

Crunchy fried chicken coated in a warm, sticky pumpkin-spice honey glaze.

Sweet, aromatic, slightly smoky, and savory underneath. Cozy fall flavors with serious fried-chicken energy.
