Instructions

  1. Prep

Butterfly or pound the chicken breasts until thin and even, about ¼ inch / 6 mm.

Season lightly with salt & pepper.

  2. Coat

Coat the whole schnitzel in flour → egg → flour.

That second flour is what makes it crunch.

  3. Fry

Heat the oil in a wide pan to 350°F / 175°C.

Fry for 3–4 min per side until golden, crispy & super crunchy.

Lift it out with tongs and let the oil drip off.

Internal temp: the thickest part should read 165°F / 74°C.

  4. Glaze

    Mince the garlic finely.

Simmer the honey and garlic in a small pot over medium-low heat for 2–3 min, until it bubbles and gets glossy.

Toss the hot schnitzel in the glaze or pour it over until fully coated.

  5. Serve

Pick your favorite dipping sauce or serve it over a hot bowl of rice.

Serve immediately while hot, sticky & crispy.
